Tire Amnesty Events in April and May

Drop Off Used Tires For Free

The City of Sacramento, in partnership with the Sacramento Conservation Corp and Waste Management is holding two tire amnesty events. Sacramento residents can drop off up to eight used tires which will then be recycled.

“Tires are common in illegally dumped piles, partly because they are difficult get rid of,” states Terrance Davis, Integrated Waste Manager for the City of Sacramento. “This is a great opportunity for residents to properly recycle unwanted tires.“

The two events will be:

Saturday April 29, 2017
805 Eleanor Ave, Sacramento 95815
9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Saturday May 20, 2017
SRTS/ Waste Management
8491 Fruitridge Road, Sacramento 95826
9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Guidelines for the drop off:

  • The drop off is free
  • Only rubber tires, with no rims
  • A maximum of eight tires will be permitted per vehicle
