Media & Communications
The City's Office of Media and Communications is here to facilitate communication with citizens, businesses, elected officials and the City Manager’s Office regarding City services and projects. In case of an emergency, the Media and Communications Manager helps disseminate and coordinate vital information to ensure public safety.
The Office of Media and Communications also works to communicate directly with members of the media in both preparing and placing stories and responding to media inquiries. A key goal of this office is to deliver timely, accurate, consistent, cohesive and strategic communications to the City’s constituencies.
The City of Sacramento handles media inquiries, public affairs and outreach, as well as informational requests and social media needs. The Media & Communications staff are also members of the City's team of Public Information Officers.
