Candidate forums for june 5, 2018 election

The Office of the City Clerk will be holding two informational forums pertaining to the June 5, 2018 election. Attendance by prospective candidates is encouraged, however not required. Information regarding the nomination process will be provided, along with the opportunity to ask questions. 

The forums will be held in New City Hall, 1st Floor in Conference Room CH1119

CANDIDATE FORUM #1 - Thursday, February 8, 2018 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.

CANDIDATE FORUM #2 - Tuesday, February 20, 2018 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Local Campaign Finance Regulations

The City of Sacramento has adopted local campaign finance regulations. These regulations provide for public campaign financing (also referred to as matching funds), restrict spending and place limits on contributions.

Due to budget constraints, the Campaign Reform Fund was not funded for 2014. Therefore public financing is not available. However, provisions pertaining to contribution limits remain in effect. For detailed information please visit the Campaign Finance page.
