mEASURE  S - SACRAMENTO STREETCAR COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 2017-01 SPECIAL ELECTION

On March 21st the City Council passed a resolution to place a ballot measure on the June 20, 2017 Special Municipal Election pertaining to a Sacramento Streetcar Community Facilities District No. 2017-01.

Important! Mello Roos Act Declaration of Authorized Representative

Mello Roos Act (Section 53326(b)(n)) requires that all entities utilizing an authorized representative voting on their behalf, file written evidence of this authorization with the Office of the City Clerk. Landowner's utilizing an authorized representative to vote on behalf of a business, limited liability company, partnership, or trust MUST have written evidence on file with the Office of the Clerk PRIOR to casting the Landowner’s Ballot. A declaration form that meets the requirement of the Mello Roos Act has been mailed to all Landowners. Other acceptable examples of written evidence of authorization could include articles of incorporation, a board of director’s resolution, or proof that the person is a partner or a member of the company and is authorize to vote on the entities behalf.

Written proof may be submitted via email at clerk@cityofsacramento.org or submitted by hand or mail delivery to the City of Sacramento, Office of the City Clerk at: 915 I Street, 5th Floor, Sacramento, CA 95814; Attention: Phoebe Schueler.

Ballot Information

Ballots were mailed out to landowners on Tuesday, May 30th, 2017. Outgoing envelopes are in a 9x12 white envelope with the following label.

 

 The Return Ballot Envelope will be in a 6x9 blue envelope, sample shown below.

To ensure your vote will be counted:

1.     Complete and return an authorized representative declaration form (if applicable). 

2.     Clearly mark yes or no on the ballot. Place the Ballot in the blue return ballot envelope.  

3.     Complete the back of the return envelope by completing the city and state fields; and sign and print your name on the back of the blue return ballot envelope. 

Polling Information

Ballots, enclosed in the signed official return envelope,  may be dropped off in person at Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; at the security kiosk in New City Hall. (915 I Street, - 1st Floor, Sacramento, California 95814) On June 20th, election day, ballots maybe dropped off until 8:00 pm. 

Ballots, enclosed in the signed official return envelope, may be mailed via USPS or other bonafide mailing service to the address below. Mailed ballots must be postmarked/date stamped PRIOR to 8:00 pm Tuesday, June 20, 2017; and received PRIOR to 8:00 pm Friday, June 23, 2017.
