CITY OF SACRAMENTO GOLDEN 1 CENTER CITY EVENT PROGRAM

CITY OF SACRAMENTO ARENA EVENT POLICY

In April 2017, the City approved the Management, Use, and Reporting for Arena City Events (Arena Event Policy). The Arena Event Policy is provided to ensure that the City’s selection and management of City Events is consistent with the Arena Management, Operation, and Lease Agreement (AMOLA), furthers a public purpose, and is reasonably calculated to result in a neutral or positive financial return for the City. The Arena Event Policy can be found in the Ticket Program Documents section below.

CITY OF SACRAMENTO GOLDEN 1 CENTER CITY EVENT PROGRAM

Under the AMOLA between the City and ArenaCo (City Agreement 2014-0514), the City reserved the non-assignable right to use the Golden 1 Center Arena (including Premium Seating) for up to nine City Civic Events and, on an as-available basis, for up to 24 City Minor Events each Operating Year. Under the AMOLA, City Events will not be subject to facility rental fees, but will incur reasonable out-of-pocket costs including but not limited to labor, municipal services, ticketing, and food and beverage without markup. In addition to (and not in lieu of) the City Events, ArenaCo shall cooperate in good faith with the City to make the Arena available for up to three Economic Partner Events each Operating Year.

Per the Arena Event Policy and the AMOLA, the following organizations are eligible to apply for the Golden 1 Center City Event Program:

  • City of Sacramento Offices, Departments, Programs and Facilities
  • Non-profit Organizations headquartered in the City of Sacramento
  • Economic Partner Organizations (as defined in the Arena Event Policy)

Eligible parties interested in applying for an opportunity to host an event at the G1C in accordance with the Arena Event Policy, must review the Arena Event Policy and submit the online application via the links in the document section below. All applications will be reviewed to ensure compliance with the Arena Event Policy and all applicants will be contacted by a City staff member. Submission of an application does not guarantee arena event use.
