Northwest Land Park Specific Plan

The Northwest Land Park Specific Plan will create a vision for the development and redevelopment of the area and remove barriers to increasing the supply of housing south of Broadway. The 264-acre project area is generally bound by the Sacramento River on the west, Broadway Boulevard on the north; Muir Way and 5th Street on the east; and 4th Avenue on the south, as shown on the project map. This area includes the Northwest Land Park PUD area, an infill project (under construction) known as The Mill at Broadway; Alder Grove and Marina Vista Public Housing; Leataata Floyd Elementary School; approximately 32 acres of existing industrial land uses; and Miller Park & Marina.

The Northwest Land Park Specific Plan will include land use regulations and policies, and will identify necessary public improvements to support new urban development. The anticipated development will be consistent with the framework of the General Plan which anticipates a mix of traditional and urban scale housing with neighborhood commercial uses. The Community Development Department will be the lead agency in developing the Specific Plan.
