VITA Free Tax Preparation Program Update – January 2021

What we recommend:

  • For virtual free tax preparation, Sacramento area VITA volunteers are able to complete your tax returns through the Get Your Refund platform.  In the Sacramento region please use this web site to be sure your return is being completed by local VITA volunteers under the direction of United Way of the California Capitol Region:  This platform works with all devices including smartphones.  To get an idea how this works, here's a virtual tutorial
  • Please check for additional online tax preparation resources or call 800-500-4931 in the Sacramento, Yolo, Amador, or Placer county region for updates about in-person events in these areas and  drop-off options. .
