Surplus Property Sales

The City's Procurement Services Division is responsible for public disposal of all material, equipment, vehicles, furniture, and supplies which become excess or surplus to the needs of the City. City surplus property is sold competitively using sealed bids, and auction-type sales. All property is offered "As-Is, Where-Is", with no warranty, expressed or implied, as to kind, character or quality of any of the property, or as to its fitness for any use or purpose.

Since the City of Sacramento's Procurement Services Division does not have the resources to tear down, identify and report the characteristics of each lot, prospective bidder(s) are offered the opportunity to personally inspect the item(s) offered for public sale at the location specified in the listing. The City of Sacramento accepts only cash, cashier checks and money orders.

In addition to conducting its own sealed bidding for specialized equipment, the City has also contracted with to conduct the bulk of our surplus auctions on behalf of the City. Prospective bidders, unless otherwise specified, are required to personally attend the sales events in order to view and purchase City surplus items. partners with to auction city surplus at the following location:
