Cultivation of Medical Marijuana

Title 8 - Health and Safety

Chapter 8.132 of the City Code addresses the regulation of “The Compassionate Use Act,” approved by California voters in 1996, allowing qualified patients and the primary caregivers to obtain and use marijuana for medical purposes upon the recommendation of a physician without being subjected to criminal prosecution. Additionally, qualified patients and caregivers may cultivate indoors in a residential area up to 400 sq. ft. in size.

Title 5 - Business Operating Permit and Regulations

Chapter 5.150 of the City Code addresses the regulation of medical marijuana dispensaries and commercial cultivation consistent with the Medical Marijuana Program, the Medical Cannabis Regulations and Safety Act (MCRSA), and to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the residents of the City.
