feral cats, stray cats, & owned cats
IMPORTANT! THE SHELTER IS STILL LIMITING THE INTAKE OF CATS. PLEASE SEE THE RESTRICTIONS BELOW:
- We will accept sick or injured strays.
- A true, unwanted feral will be accepted.
- We are not accepting healthy, friendly cats. Many outdoor cats that are brought to the shelters are actually owned cats, and so this drastically reduces their chances of being found. This is due to the fact that cats are allowed to be free-roaming in the city of Sacramento, and cats rarely go more than 7 houses away from their home. As a result, they are likely to return home at some point.
SPAYing OR NEUTERing A FERAL CAT
