Deferred Compensation information

NEWS

October 18, 2021 - Changes coming soon to the investment lineup for the 457 and 401(a) plans

Notice of Investment Lineup Changes to the City's 457 and 401(a) Plans - effective November 17, 2021
The City's Defined Contribution Plans Committee, with assistance from the City's independent investment consultant, Hyas Group, reviewed and recommended changes to the investment lineup of funds available to participants in the City's 457 and 401(a) plans. The changes will result in access to well-known investment options and reduce participants' costs. The investment lineup will change after the close of the New York Stock Exchange on November 16, 2021. Your assets will remain invested throughout the process, and there is no action you need to take. Please review the handout for more information about the changes.

The Defined Contribution Plans Committee was formed by a Resolution of the City Council and was established to assist the City with the oversight of the City's 401(a), 457, and Health Reimbursement Arrangement plans. The Committee meets quarterly and meetings are open to the public. Meeting agendas and minutes are available for review on the Committee's webpage
