Creative Edge

What is Creative Edge? Sacramento is gaining an edge... in an economy of arts- and culture-based jobs
Resulting in recommendations that will be submitted to City Council for consideration in early 2018, Creative Edge will assess the area's cultural assets and map the community's vision for the future. Considerations may include creative place making, arts education, cultural tourism, arts and culture funding, access and equity, neighborhood engagement, artist support and the for-profit creative economy.
Creative Edge is an initiative to gather priorities, expectations, and needs regarding the Arts, Culture, and Creative Economy in the Sacramento area. The plan will engage the entire community of the City and County of Sacramento to create a comprehensive vision of Arts and Culture for our city. The goal is to strengthen cultural vitality through excellent, relevant, and sustainable results that can be implemented over the next five to seven years.
Background
The City of Sacramento, in partnership with the Sacramento Region Foundation has committed to a community-wide cultural planning process, called Creative Edge.
