Reservation Information

The Mims-Hagginwood Community Center can accommodate small gatherings of 30 people or large events of up to 250 people. For information regarding rentals and reservations, call 916-808-6439 or download the forms below:

Individuals may submit rental and reservation payments to the South Natomas Community Center.

Use of the Grantland Johnson Field after sunset may not occur when the field is unlit. Reservations to light the field must be for a minimum of one (1) hour. When completing your Application for Athletic Field Use [PDF], please list your end time. Do not list your end time as “dusk or “dark”. Consult the Athletic Field Guide [PDF] for more information.

Individuals must submit forms for each entity they wish to use. Submitting a form for the Hagginwood Community Center does not automatically guarantee or include use of the Grantland Johnson Field, the basketball court, park amenities, or vise versa.

Programs

Prime Time Teen
Tue and Thurs (4 p.m. - 7 p.m.)
Provides fun, interactive work readiness training for young people between the ages of 13-17. Participants gain skills in job searching, resume development, completing job applications, interviewing, financial literacy, communication, leadership and community service. All participants who meet attendance goals and participate in a youth-led community service project will receive a $200 stipend. (Participants must have a signed copy of their social security card on file to receive stipend). Program is free. Spaces are limited.

Flag Football
Practice: Monday – Friday. Games: Saturday
Boys and girls in grades 6th, 7th, and 8th will learn the fundamental skills and strategies of flag football in this co-ed instructional league. Practices will be held 2 – 3 days each week and games will be on Saturdays. Basketball
Practice: Monday – Friday. Games: Saturday
Boys and girls in grades 6th, 7th, and 8th will learn the fundamental skills and strategies of basketball in this co-ed instructional league. Yang Tai Chi
Tue and Thurs (10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.)
Tai Chi is an internal martial art which uses the body’s own energy to protect and heal itself. It is taught in slow, highly effective movements which are accessible to many different people and ages. Class instructed by George A. Bonilla.

Meals on Wheels
Tue, Wed, and Thurs (11 a.m. - 1 p.m.)
This program is available to individuals 60 years old or better who are interested in getting out of the house and meeting others over a delicious hot lunch.

North Sacramento Grandparents Support Group
Every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month (10 a.m. - 12 p.m.)
The North Sacramento Grandparents Support Group (NSGSG) was founded to assist grandparents raising grandchildren. The group looks to provide support to grandparents and kin caregivers who are raising their relatives.
