Reservation Information
The Sam & Bonnie Pannell Community Center can accommodate small gatherings of 20 people or large events of up to 300 people. For information regarding rentals and reservations, call 916-808-6680 or download the forms below:
Individuals must submit forms for each entity they wish to use. Submitting a form for the Sam & Bonnie Pannell Community Center does not automatically guarantee or include use of Pannell-Meadowview Swimming Pool, River Cats Independence Field, or vice versa.

Friday Night Hot Spot
First Friday of the Month (7 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.)
FREE program for boys and girls ages 13 - 19. Activities include basketball, volleyball, movies, snacks, games, and more. Call for dates of program. FREE
Flag Football & Basketball
Practice: Two days per week. Games: Saturday (Fall and Spring)
Boys and girls in grades (4th-6th, and 7th- 8th) will learn the fundamental skills and strategies of basketball in this co-ed instructional league. Practices will be held 2 – 3 days each week and games will be on Saturdays. Community Access
Wed (6 p.m. - 9 p.m.)
Community Access is an extended evening program for youth and their families. This program offers a place for social interaction, building family unity, educating children and adults. Activities include: cooking, sports, open game room, drill team, educational classes and enrichment dance classes. If you want to start a club or have a skill to share, come to Community Access. Sr. Computer Lab
Thursdays & Fridays (10:30 am-12 nn)
Wanting to email friends and family, set up an email account, understand the internet or just have access to a computer. Also, if you need help with your smartphone, come on in. FREE
After School Youth and Teen Program
Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri (Youth – 3:30pm – 6:00pm; Teens 4:30 pm- 7:30pm)
Come in and sign up for a fun time after school. Homework Club, games, arts and crafts and snack. If participant attends these programs, then guaranteed enrollment in summer program. FREE
Meals on Wheels
Mon, Wed, Thur & Fri (11 a.m. - 1 p.m.)
This program is available to individuals 60 years old or better who are interested in getting out of the house and meeting others over a delicious hot lunch. Donation
Adult & Senior Ceramics
Wed and Fri (10 a.m. - 3 p.m.)
Get involved in the fun craft of ceramics. Make things for home and for gifts as well as meet new friends from your community. FEE
Healthy Tai Chi & Chi Kung
Wed (9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.)
Tai Chi class for beginners. FEE
Authentic Yang Tai Chi
Sat (9 am - 11:30 am)
Comes from the Yang style of Tai Chi Quan, adopted signature techniques from the Chen, Wu and Sun style as well combining the different features of each of these four styles. It is a form in order to standardize and meet the needs of international Wushu competitions by the Chinese Association. FEE
ZumbaFitness by Corene
Mon (5:30 pm-6:30 pm)
Zumba is a dance fitness program that provides an exciting party atmosphere full of Latin, Hip Hop, and international music. Zumba is fun, effective, easy to do, and promotes the perfect balance of cardio and toning. You can burn anywhere from a few hundred calories to 1000 calories in 1 hour! You'll have so much fun you'll forget you're exercising! If you don't believe us, come. FEE
Line Dancing with Liz
Wed (4:45 pm-5:45 pm)
Dancing to R&B, southern soul, and smooth jazz music, this line dance class will teach you to actually move your body, improve your balance, help you find the beat, teach you basic footwork, improve your confidence, provide you with a dance outlet whether you have a partner or not, and provide you a way to practice. Fitness/Exercise Room
