Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday: 8 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. (except rentals)
Tuesday and Sunday: Closed (rentals only)

Transactions for program registration and rentals may only be made Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Reservation Information

The Sam & Bonnie Pannell Community Center can accommodate small gatherings of 20 people or large events of up to 350 people. For information regarding rentals and reservations, call 916-808-6680 or download the forms below:

Individuals may submit rental and reservation payments to the Sam & Bonnie Pannell Community Center.

Individuals must submit forms for each entity they wish to use. Submitting a form for the Sam & Bonnie Pannell Community Center does not automatically guarantee or include use of Pannell-Meadowview Swimming Pool, River Cats Independence Field, or vise versa.

Friday Night Hot Spot
Fridays (7 p.m. - 11 p.m.)
FREE program for boys and girls ages 13 - 19. Activities include basketball, volleyball, movies, snacks, games, and more. Call for dates of program.

Flag Football
Practice: Monday – Friday. Games: Saturday
Boys and girls in grades 6th, 7th, and 8th will learn the fundamental skills and strategies of flag football in this co-ed instructional league. Practices will be held 2 – 3 days each week and games will be on Saturdays. For more information, please visit your local community center for site specific practice days or contact the sports coordinator Scott Jensen at (916) 808-6657.

Basketball
Practice: Monday – Friday. Games: Saturday
Boys and girls in grades 6th, 7th, and 8th will learn the fundamental skills and strategies of basketball in this co-ed instructional league. Community Access
Wed (6 p.m. - 9 p.m.)
Community Access is an extended evening program for youth and their families. This program offers a place for social interaction, building family unity, educating children and adults. Activities include: cooking, sports, open game room, drill team, educational classes and enrichment dance classes. If you want to start a club or have a skill to share, come to Community Access. This ongoing program is free. For more information, call 808-5611.

Meals on Wheels
Mon, Wed, Fri (11 a.m. - 1 p.m.)
This program is available to individuals 60 years old or better who are interested in getting out of the house and meeting others over a delicious hot lunch.

Adult & Senior Ceramics
Wed and Fri (10 a.m. - 3 p.m.)
Get involved in the fun craft of ceramics. Make things for home and for gifts as well as meet new friends from your community.

Healthy Tai Chi & Chi Kung
Wed (9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.)
Tai Chi class for beginners.

Authentic Yang Tai Chi
Sat (9 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.)
Comes from the Yang style of Tai Chi Quan, adopted signature techniques from the Chen, Wu and Sun style as well combining the different features of each of these four styles. It is a form in order to standardize and meet the needs of international Wushu competitions by the Chinese Association.

Zumba Fitness with Fran
Mon (5:45 p.m. - 6:45 p.m.)
Wed (4:45 p.m. - 5:45 p.m.)
Zumba is fun, effective, easy to do, and promotes the perfect balance of cardio and toning. You can burn anywhere from a few hundred calories to 600 calories in 1 hour! Be sure to dress in breathable, light clothing, sneakers, bring water, and a towel.
