Join Sacramento Covered for their 17th Annual Healthy Kids Day at the new Golden 1 Center plaza on Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 10 am – 3 pm. FREE for all ages!

Mayor Steinberg in collaboration with each of the eight City Council Offices, will be hosting a series of community budget forums to provide an opportunity for the public and communities across the city of Sacramento to provide feedback and input on the City budget process. Your input and participation is critical!

Summer @ City Hall

Sacramento Summer at City Hall Program participants

The Summer @ City Hall (S@CH) program is a collaboration between the City of Sacramento, Sacramento City Unified School District (SCUSD), Twin Rivers Unified School District (TRUSD), Natomas Unified School District (NUSD), and WayUp Sacramento. The program is open to all current high school sophomores and juniors of the 2016-2017 school year. Upon completion of the program students will receive 5 high school credits and a stipend.


#SacYouthWorks Youth Internship program is part of the Neighborhood Services "Building Sac Youth for Success" initiative which aims to give youth opportunities to do an internship with governmental agencies or local organizations. It is open to youth ages 16-24 years old. There are three separate cohorts for the internship program from June to August 2017.


Sacramento Youth Commission

The Sacramento Youth Commission was established by the Sacramento City Council to serve as an advisory group to provide recommendations on youth related issues in Sacramento. Since its original creation in 1993, the Sacramento Youth Commission has organized numerous public events, tackled crucial youth related issues, and worked hundreds of hours serving the Sacramento City community at-large.
