The Teen Services section uses a Youth Development model in providing recreation and enrichment programs for youth ages 12 – 18 years old. Programs include the PASSage after school program, three youth vocational training programs, a middle school sports league, the 28&B Skate Park, and special events. Teen programs operate at local middle and high schools, as well as community centers. For more information, call 808-6068.

Passages / ASES

After school program currently offered at middle schools in the Sacramento City and Elk Grove Unified School District funded by the CA Department of Education.

PASSage/ASES operates daily from school dismissal until 6:00pm. Participants engage in a variety of exciting and challenging activities such as academic enrichment, sports, visual and performing arts, science and technology, service learning, cooking, multi-cultural activities, life skills education, special events and trips.

Youth Vocational training and Employment Programs

Middle School / Community Center Sports Leagues

Youth in grades 6th, 7th and 8th will learn the fundamentals of flag football and basketball in these co-ed instructional leagues. Contact your local community center for more information.

28&B Skate Park

The 28th & B skate park operates seven days a week: Monday through Friday 4-9pm and Saturday and Sunday 1-9pm. Additionally, instructional camps are provided during school vacations and breaks.

Rosa Parks Community Access

Rosa Parks Middle School is open every Wednesday evening from 6:00 – 9:00pm providing meeting space and activities for youth and their families. Activities offered include basketball, cooking classes, martial arts, educational classes, drill team, and other enrichment classes.
