Hart Senior Center offers opportunities to participate in art and craft classes or workshops that spark the creativity of Sacramento's older adults.

$ Weaving Lessons: Mondays, 1-4p (ON HIATUS)
Led by volunteer weaving instructor Cherie Jackson, these lessons will introduce students to terminology, looms, equipment, and weaving techniques. Each student will have the opportunity to work on a project of their own under direction from Cherie. Please inquire to the Hart Senior Center @ 916-808-5462 for the current fees; includes all materials. Space is limited. Contact the Center for class availability.

$ Intermediate Open Ceramics Lab: Thursdays, 8a-12:30p (ON HIATUS)
Welcome to Hart’s open ceramics lab! Participants with an intermediate to advanced level of ceramics knowledge can create ceramics from start to finish – including pouring the molds, cleaning green ware, glazing and firing. A pottery wheel is available for use on the patio when weather permits and hand builders are also welcome. Members come and go at their convenience during the open lab hours. The Center provides molds, glazes and use of the kiln; participants supply their own materials and tools. Please inquire to the Hart Senior Center @ 916-808-5462 for the current fees (Note: registration opens the last Thursday of the month). Instruction is not provided. Space is limited. FREE - Craft ‘n Chat: Thursdays, 10a-Noon
Join our crafty participants as they work and chat on projects including sewing, quilting, crochet, weaving, knitting, needle point, drawing, coloring, paper crafts, jewelry, and more. No formal instruction provided. Participants supply their own projects and materials. Come craft and chat with us!
