Volunteers Performing Massive Clean Up
Students Help the Community by Giving Their Time and Energy
Sacramento, California, April 27, 2005 –
Today is Victory Christian School’s 17th Annual Work Day. Victory
Christian School is an independent, non-denominational school supported
by tuition, gifts, and fundraisers. Each year more than 300 students and
teachers go to several locations in community parks, convalescent facilities
and homes of elderly citizens. This year classes are serving at William
Land Park and McKinley Park.
Students at Land Park are painting the picnic areas behind
Fairytale town, the bleachers around the soccer fields, picnic areas,
and the benches in the amphitheatre. Students at McKinley Park are replenishing
100 yards of fibar (fall material) in playground, adding 50 yards of mulch
and decorative bark to rose beds, and painting projects at various locations.
