Sacramento, California, June 23, 2006 – The 13th Annual Meadowview Jazz and Cultural Festival happens tomorrow, June 24, 2006. Gates open at 1 p.m. and the festival entertainment begins at 2 p.m. Entertainers include multi-award winning Ohio Players, War, and the Garrett Perkins Project. Other performers during the festival include Sacred Fire, B-Smoov, and L.T.D.

There’s plenty for the family, including children’s activities, food and merchandise booths, cultural displays and fireworks after the show,” said City Councilmember Bonnie Pannell. About 10,000 people are expected to attend the event this year. The 13th Annual Meadowview Jazz and Cultural Festival will be held at Cosumnes River College Stadium, located at Bruceville Road and Cosumnes River Blvd.

The Meadowview Jazz and Cultural Festival is organized through the leadership of Councilmember Bonnie Pannell. Sponsors include V.101.1, The Sacramento Bee, Tim Lewis Communities, Cosumnes River College, New Faze Development, Sacramento Cultural Hub, Opus West, Construction and General Laborers Local 185, Catholic Healthcare West, Centex Homes, Wells Fargo Bank, Nouveau Homes, Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 447, Sacramento Consolidate Charities, JTS Communities, AT&T, John Saca, PG&E, Kaiser Permanente, KB Homes. All proceeds benefit the community.
