Vandals Burn Down Play Structure at Baer Park (Max); Investigation Initiated to find Culprit(s).


Sacramento, California, July 17, 2006—Sometime during this past weekend, vandals burned down the plastic play structure at Max Baer Park, located at 7851 35th Avenue, in the Southeastern part of Sacramento. The Sacramento Fire Department is currently investigating the incident.

The Department of Parks and Recreation will replace the play structure in the coming months.

The Department of Parks and Recreation encourages anyone with information about the Baer Park incident to contact the Sacramento Fire Department at (916) 433-1300. Residents with questions about the plans to replace the play structure can contact Park Operation Services at (916) 808-6305.
