Miller Park Boat Ramp Launch Closed for Repairs

Sacramento, California, May 4, 2001 - The Miller Park boat ramp launch, located along the Sacramento River near the Tower Bridge, is closed to public access for a minimum of six months. Recently the boat ramp failed -
creating underwater hazards - posing an immediate danger to the public.

The City of Sacramento Department of Parks and Recreation is currently seeking funding sources to replace the boat ramp as rapidly as possible.

Until Miller Park boat ramp is reopened, boaters and fishermen should utilize other boat ramp launch sites such as Garcia Bend, Discovery Park, or Broderick Launch in West Sacramento.

We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your patience and cooperation in the interests of public safety. Questions regarding the Miller Park boat ramp launch may be referred to (916) 264-8958, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
