City's Swimming Pools Remain Open in September

Sacramento, California, August 30, 2001 - Due to popular demand three strategically located City of Sacramento aquatics facilities will remain open from September 4 through 30, 2001, for recreational swimming and water play! All other City swimming pools and wading pools in the City of Sacramento have or will close for the season at the end of the Labor Day period.

In North Sacramento:

Doyle Pool and Wading Pool at Northgate Park
Open ~ September 4 - 30, 2001
Saturday and Sunday 1 p.m. - 7 p.m.
Tuesday and Thursday 3:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Mama Marks Play Pool at Mama Marks Park
Open ~ September 8 - 23, 2001 (no charge)
The maximum child height for the Play Pool is 50 inches.

In Central Sacramento:
Clunie Pool and Wading Pool at McKinley Park
Open ~ September 4 - 30, 2001
Saturday and Sunday 1 p.m. - 7 p.m.
Monday through Friday 3:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

In South Sacramento:
Pannell Meadowview Recreational Swimming and Wading Pools and Slide at Pannell Meadowview Community Center
Open ~ September 4 - 30, 2001
Saturday 1 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Sunday 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.
Monday and Wednesday 3 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Tuesday and Thursday 3 p.m. - 5:15 p.m.

Regular Daily Admission Fees apply for swimming:
Children $ .50
Teens .75
Adults 1.00

Regular Daily Slide Fees at Pannell Meadowview Recreational Pool apply:
Children $ 1.00
Teens 1.50
Adults 2.00

The Pannell Meadowview Recreational Pool is offering a variety of specialty aquatics programs, including swim lessons, swim team clinics, water polo, wetball and aqua aerobics. For further information, please call (916) 433-6622.
