Residential Vacation Check Program

(North Sacramento)

The Sacramento Police Department's Volunteers in Police Service (VIPS) provides a free Residential Vacation Check Program for North Sacramento residents (Districts 1 and 2). The department is looking to expand this program to other areas within the city in the future.  If you are interested in using this service, and reside in District 1 or 2, please follow the instructions below.

Email the completed application form to at least four (4) business days prior to the start of your vacation.  Vacations must be for a minimum of four (4) days up to a maximum of 14 days in duration. You will receive confirmation that your application is accepted. During the pilot period, only a limited number of applications will be selected.
