Delivery Permits allow non-commercial vehicles to park in alleys for up to 30 minutes while doing company business. Vehicles may only be parked unattended for 10 of those 30 minutes.
Applicants must meet criteria to be eligible to purchase a Delivery Permit:
- A current Business Operation Tax Certificate from the City of Sacramento must be provided as proof to meet the City’s requirements to conduct business and perform work within the city limits.
- Each non-commercial vehicle must have a permit issued. No permit will be used for "VARIOUS VEHICLES" unless by prior arrangement with the Parking Manager.
Please note that the above are criteria to determine eligibility only. Each application is subject to a review. Submitting an application does not guarantee issuance of a permit. The applicant will be notified if the application is accepted or denied.
Applicants who do not meet the above criteria or who only have one job location may need to submit a Meter & Parking Space Reservation Request instead.
The fee is $60.00 per permit, per year, fee not prorated. All permits expire June 30.
Companies must submit a Delivery Permit Application along with a letter on official company letterhead containing the following information:
- A brief reason for requesting the permit(s).
- Listing of each vehicle by make, model, year, license plate number and color. (For new vehicles without plates, the VIN number should be listed).
Application and letter must be dropped off at the below address:
