Water Wise Services to Help Save Water at Your Business

Businesses are required to follow the City’s watering rules. The City of Sacramento Department of Utilities offers programs to help you reduce your water use and save including a rebate program for multiple improvements at your business property.

Water Wise Business Calls – Save Water and Money with a Free Visit

Saving water isn’t just good for the environment; it’s good business. The City can help you find ways to save water with a free Water Wise Business Call. As part of this service, a City Water Conservation Specialist who will help you look for the best ways to save water, give you free tips and tools, review and pre-qualify you for available rebates. We can help you determine your current water efficiency and identify ways to improve.

Water Misuse Reporting

Saving water is a community responsibility. If you see water being misused, watering on the wrong day or time, or overwatering, please report it by calling 311 or (916) 264-3111, emailing your report to 311@cityofsacramento.org, going online to our website  (click on Report Street Flooding), or by using the City’s  free 311 app on your smartphone.

When reporting information to the City, please be sure to include:

  • Days and times the watering is occurring
  • Address of where the water misuse is taking place
  • Any pattern to the watering, like the frequency it is being watered or for how long the watering is taking place.
