Flood control station repairs near American River Bike Trail

The City's Department of Utilities next year will be repairing a flood control station near the American River Bike Trail south of the Woodlake neighborhood.

Part of the repairs include a closure and detour of the American River Bike Trail south of Expo Parkway to the western portion of Lathrop Way.

The detour will take cyclists and pedestrian along the following path, which is about one mile:

  • From the American River Bike Trail, north on the Expo Way River Access trail
  • North along Expo Parkway
  • West on Slobe Avenue
  • South on Commerce Circle to Lathrop Way
  • West on Lathrop Way
  • South off of Lathrop Way to the American River Bike Trail

The estimated project cost is about $2.8 million.

Construction is expected to last from Spring to Fall 2024.
