After 17 years of living David Schenirer can confidently say he has made an impact on his world. But it’s not all work. At age 13 he placed third at a national diving competition and as a freshman was awarded an All American Diving Award. In 2007 David began his mission to open a place were teens can go to hang out, get resources and help if needed. Almost three years later now his goals are within reach with the opening of the VIBE Foundation in early February of next year. David's fun happens outside the borders of the United States. He has already ventured to three of the worlds contents and hopes to visit them all once more before turning 21. David has a tightly knit family that supports him in his mission to morph Sacramento into a revolutionary teen friendly city. |

Julian Nagler, a seventeen year old senior at Christian Brothers High School, joined the Youth Commission as an avenue to positively affect youth based policy in Sacramento. The 2009-10 school year will be Julian’s third and final year as a commissioner, he hopes to help develop new strategies to make the commission as productive and efficient as possible in coming years. |

Hello; I am Rian Nguy, 16 years old until November of this year, and I attend Health Professions High School. I am a scholarly type of person and am pursuing perfect grades at my high school and college classes. Also, since I am a senior this year I want to get into my college choice while enjoying
myself through jewelry and literary art (hard as that may sound). I joined this commission to influence the right powers to change Sacramento for the better of all youth, and I hope this year we can do just that. |

My name is Diamond Garnett. I am currently a 16 year old Junior, attending Natomas Pacific Pathways Preparatory High School (NP3). My goal is to obtain a 4.0 or above average GPA, so that I can hopefully get an academic scholarship to a great college. I have an interest in fashion as well as communication and broadcasting.
I represent District 1 on the Sacramento Youth Commission. We as teenagers need a voice. I joined the commission because I want to be part of the solution to challenges facing youth in not only the Natomas community, but our community as a whole. |

Jillian Wilson is a seventeen year old senior who attends Natomas Charter. Her goal is to graduate High School with an honor roll’s GPA and Diploma, to help plan the Senior Trip, Participating on the editorial staff and contributing my writing skills to ILP’s “The Voice” student publication, and to tutor and mentor new or younger students enrolled in ILP. Jillian joined the SYC because she saw the Youth Commission as an opportunity to help create positive change in Sacramento. She views the Youth Commission as a perfect challenge to learn and grow with countless experiences that are dedicated to improving the lives and safety of my fellow Youth. Jillian’s main goal in life is to become a successful writer for works of fiction. |

My name is Gerardo Gonzalez, I'm 17 years old and I attend grant High School. My goals for this year in high school include to graduate with exceptional grades, get accepted to Sacramento State, and furthermore go to college. The reason I joined the Youth Commission is to offer my personal opinion regarding youth related issues that later on can be used to better the condition of youth in Sacramento. My personal goal that I am focusing on now is to get accepted into college and eventually graduate with a BS in mechanical engineering.

During her time at St. Frances Olivia plans to immerse herself in furthering her education, experiencing new and exciting ways to do community service, and establish lifelong friendships. Her personal goals include attending a rigorous university, earning her PHD, publishing a novel, and making an impact on the betterment of society. She joined the Sacramento Youth Commission because she absolutely loves Sacramento and has enjoyed watching it blossom in her years growing up. Sacramento Charter High School. I am a 17 year old teenager that is interested in pursuing a double major in psychology and child development. I joined the commission because I want to do my part in making a change in this world and I want to start in my home town. It is my personal goal to help with events and projects that I know will help make a difference in our world.

Hello my name is Christopher Crump. I am 15 and a sophomore attending Monterey Trail School. During high school I intend to receive no less than a 3.5 GPA as well as becoming fluent in French. I made the decision to join the Sacramento Youth Commission because I only hope the best for my generation, in our city. I wish to devote myself to making this change. I do have personal goals which include gradating with honors, attending New York University, earning a corporate law degree and becoming an attorney in Southern California.
