City Academies

The City of Sacramento offers the following two academies:

• City Management Academy
  Learn firsthand how the City of Sacramento is managed and operated. Taught by City staff, the Academy will provide an interactive learning experience in which the instructors and residents can learn from each other through case studies, site tours, and class discussions. Highly recommended for neighborhood associations, area businesses, and anyone else who wants to learn more about the City and its departments.
• Planning Academy
  The Planning Academy is a ten week course designed to educate and engage residents and business and community leaders in the City's planning process. Sessions are designed to include discussion, Q&A, interactive group exercises, and field trips. Classes cover a broad spectrum of planning issues and practices.

You may attend each academy in any particular order - neither is a prerequisite for the other.
