Parking Monetization


Request for Qualifications

The City of Sacramento (“City”) released a Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) for the monetization of its parking assets on January 9, 2012.

The parking assets (“Parking Assets”) consist of approximately 12,700 parking spaces maintained in both off-street parking garages and may include on-street metered locations and the concomitant enforcement revenue garnered through regulation of illegal parking activity.  The parking spaces are divided as follows:

  • 7,200± are located in off-street garages

  • 5,500± are metered spaces in the downtown area

Responses to the RFQ were due to the City by 5:00 p.m. PST January 30, 2012. The following 13 teams submitted qualifications for the City’s consideration:

  • Capital City Parking Group
  • CMB Export LLC
  • Gates Group Capital Partners
  • Guggenheim Securities, LLC
  • InterPark LLC
  • LAZ Parking / CIM Group
  • Morgan Stanley Infrastructure, Inc.
  • Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board
  • The Carlyle Group
  • Revitalizing Sacramento LLC
  • Sacramento Forward, LLC
