Old Sacramento Historic District Office
The Old Sacramento Historic District office manages, operates, and maintains the public spaces in Old Sacramento, including the waterfront, streets, alleys, boardwalks, and parks and works closely with the Historic Old Sacramento Foundation, the Old Sacramento Business Association, the State Department of Parks and Recreation and other stakeholder organizations to further the historic, educational, and commercial goals of the district.

Old Sacramento Historic District office programs include:

Maintenance of Old Sacramento public spaces in order to provide a clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment for visitors of Old Sacramento, including monitoring of all repairs and replacements.

Monitoring compliance with City ordinances to protect public safety and welfare and support improvement and enhancement of the Old Sacramento Historic District.

Operation of public facilities including Waterfront Park, the Old Sacramento boat docks, and the waterfront wharf.

Permits for signs, special events and facility rentals, street performers, sidewalk merchandise displays, and horse-drawn carriage services.

Provide a central point of contact for City services in Old Sacramento to answer questions and connect stakeholders with other City departments.
