Jay Wisham

Jay Wisham is a firefighter with the City of Sacramento. Over the last fifteen years, he has worked in fire stations in several areas of the City, including four years in Del Paso Heights, 5 years downtown, 2 years Oak Park, and most recently at station 10 at Fruitridge and 66th. Although he was raised in the Pocket area of Sacramento, working in each of these fire stations has educated Mr. Wisham about the needs of many of the City’s neighborhoods. Growing up, his father was the Assistant City Manager for the City of Sacramento, and his mother was a communications professor at Sacramento State University. Jay’s wife is an attorney with Legal Services of Northern California, the legal aid program for Sacramento. They have two children and have lived in Curtis Park for ten years.
