City Management Academy

The City Management Academy is a free program offered by the City of Sacramento through the Neighborhood Services Department.

Mission Statement

The mission of the City Management Academy is to educate and encourage partnerships between City of Sacramento residents and business owners to help maintain, revitalize, and promote healthy communities.

Goals

Raise participant awareness of city operations and resources
Develop the leadership capacity of participants to contribute to neighborhood or business groups
Increase academy participant collaboration and communication with city staff
Promote interaction among participants and alumni of both the City Management Academy and City Planning Academy

Important Dates

Monday July 7th – Recruitment for 2008 CMA Begins

Friday August 1st – Application must be postmarked or hand-delivered to Neighborhood Services

Monday August 11th – Decision letters mailed to every applicant

Monday August 25th – Academy Orientation

Monday September 8th – First Academy Session

Monday November 10th – Final Academy Session

Thursday November 13th – Graduation at City Council Meeting
