These pages have been prepared to help guide you through the election process as a voter, as a potential candidate for office, and as a resident of the City of Sacramento. These web pages also provide information pertaining to potential and/or approved ballot measures.

 

Election Information & Dates:

June 8, 2010 Primary Election

  • Nomination Period Opens: Monday, February 15, 2010
  • Candidates may begin filing papers including
     
    • Nomination Petition (20-30 valid signatures)
    • Statement of Economic Interests Form 700
    • Acceptance/Rejection of Public Financing
    • Candidate Statement

  • Materials are available free of charge at the City Clerk's Office (by appointment)
  • Final Filing Day: Friday, March 12, 2010 by 5:00 pm at the City Clerk's Office
  • Last Day to Register - May 24, 2010

The following issues are in the process of qualifying for an upcoming ballot:

  • Government Accountability and Charter Reform Measure of 2009

  • Filing deadline for both petitions is Saturday, June 27, 2009
