Welcome to the City of Sacramento's Municipal Election 2008 web pages. These pages have been prepared to help guide you through the election process as a voter, as a potential candidate for office, and as a resident of the City of Sacramento.
Issuance of nomination documents are done on an appointment basis. To assist candidates in successfully navigating the regulations and forms required as part of filing for elective office, the City Clerk will provide an instructional overview at the time nomination documents are issued. This process can take from 30 to 45 minutes depending on the number of questions asked by the candidate. To ensure that the City Clerk's elections team is prepared to devote their full attention to each candidate, an appointment is highly encouraged. To schedule an appointment, call the City Clerk's Office at 808-7200 (press 0 to bypass introductory message).
