Neighborhood Code Compliance The Neighborhood Code Compliance division works to improve the quality of life in Sacramento's neighborhoods through awareness, education and enforcement. Removal of illegally dumped debris, or accumulated trash and junk from public and private property is a primary function. Code Enforcement Officers are responsible for abating zoning violations including unlawful use of land, illegal street vendors, continuous yard sales (only one per residence per year is allowed), large-scale recycling in residential areas, illegal fences and illegal camping in vehicles.
