Design Review Commission will meet regularly on the 3rd Wednesday of each month. Meetings are held from 5:30 - 10:30, and may go later.
What is the Design Commission?
The Commission is a seven-member commission appointed by the City Council.
The Design Commission's responsibilities are to:
- Develop and recommend to the city council urban design policies appropriate for inclusion in the general plan and other regulatory plans and programs of the city.
- Develop and recommend design guidelines for the implementation of the design review ordinance.
- Develop and recommend to the city council policies and standards for review of development projects.
- Evaluate and submit comments and recommendations on development projects and environmental reviews that are not subject to review under the design review ordinance that may affect the physical development of the city.
- Annually report to the city council on the design commission's duties and functions and activities.
- Design commission is responsible to review all projects of major significance and appeals of the design director's decisions per the design review chapter, 17.132, of the city code.
