About the Historic Resources Survey Committee

The Historic Resources Survey Committee reviews cultural resources surveys or research and nominations for properties and makes recommendations to the Preservation Director or Commission for properties' eligibility to the Sacramento or California Registers of Historic Resources.

The Preservation Commission's Historic Resources Survey Committee is a standing committee of the Commission, currently comprised of a four-member committee as follows:

A. Two (2) members of the Preservation Commission appointed by the Commission Chair, including the person serving in the architectural history position on the Commission; and,

B. Two (2) members at-large appointed by the Commission Chair, qualified in architectural history and history.
