Oak Park Survey
Introduction
The Oak Park area was the first annexation made by the City of Sacramento, completed in 1911. Oak Park is the first city suburb and possesses not only a unique history but many buildings and districts that are significant to Sacramento’s history and architectural heritage.
The Oak Park Survey was conducted as part of efforts by the City of Sacramento to implement its Preservation Element regarding the completion of surveys of the entire city.
