Staff and Commissions
There are three groups dedicated to the preservation effort at the City of Sacramento:
- Preservation Commission
- This commission, which meets the first Wednesday of each month, develops preservation policy, as well as review major projects.
- Preservation Director Hearings
- The Preservation Director is the Secretary to the Preservation Commission as well as oversees the City Preservation staff.
- Preservation Staff
- This team handles the review of every project, confirming whether a property is eligible for preservation status, and determining what steps are necessary to retain a property's historical significance. Ask the staff a question.
