The City of Sacramento Urban Design team is involved in a great endeavor. We are helping build a great city: a livable, safe city, a city exuding vitality, economically, socially, aesthetically.
We are charged with respecting our past while embracing an exciting future. Indeed, a livable Sacramento must preserve the best of yesterday while releasing the creative possibilities of tomorrow, and in the process consolidate an identity which is uniquely Sacramentan. From coexisting tension emerges a great city. A city loved by all; owned by all. A Sacramento of many faces, myriad flavors, sounds and colors, celebrations and ceremonies.
I look forward to the privilege of sharing this great endeavor with you, for as we work together our dreams for this wonderful Sacramento are best realized.
