Participate in citywide Earth Day events: Saturday, April 6 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

City of Sacramento staff are inviting residents to join the Earth Day clean-up and beautification events on Saturday, April 6 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at locations citywide. All locations will include trash pick-up and other activities as shown below:

  • Magnolia Park (251 Greg Thatch Cir.) for planting and other landscaping work
  • Arcade Creek in Del Paso Regional Park (Longview Dr.) for trash pick-up only
  • Niños Parkway Grassland (at Edmonton Dr.) for weeding and mulching
  • Sacramento Marina (2710 Ramp Way) for landscaping work
  • Miller Regional Park (2701 Marina View Dr.) for trash pick-up only
  • Argonaut Park (1402 Dickson St.) for painting
  • Artivio Guerrero Park (6000 61st St.) for planting
  • Danny Nunn Park (6920 Power Inn Rd.) for painting
  • Bill Conlin Sports Complex (7895 Freeport Blvd.) for planting
  • Silva Field (7511 24th St.) for painting

The event is open to individuals or groups. Minors under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

Volunteers should wear sunscreen and closed-toe shoes, and bring their own water bottle. Tools for trash pick-up and beautification activities will be provided.

*Note: Pre-registration is not required to participate. Volunteers who have not pre-registered will be required to fill out a waiver form at the site before participating. Once you arrive, look for the volunteer site lead to complete your form and receive directions.

Sacramento Earth Day celebration: Sunday, April 21

The City will be participating in the Sacramento Earth Day celebration on Sunday, April 21 at Southside Park, from 11 a.m. to 4 pm.

Join the Office of Climate Action & Sustainability for the "Make Your Mark" collaborative community painting, led by local artist Taner Pasamehmetoglu.

City staff from multiple other departments will be available at the event as table exhibitors, with information and activities.
