Project Description: A consolidated civic center for city offices is planned behind City Hall on H Street between 9th and 10th streets. Estimates on the project include a five-story extension of 150,000 square feet to the city's now crowded offices. More information is available on the Public Works website.

Project Description: The California Public Employees Retirement System is building a 550,000 sf office complex along Q Street between 3rd and 5th to expand their existing headquarters directly north along P Street. The project will also include a 1,000 space underground parking garage, approximately 20,000 sf of commercial space for retail, and a child care center open to the public. In addition approximately 180 residential units will be developed along the project frontage on R Street and additional parcels between 5th and 7th on R Street.
Total Project Cost: Estimated at $220 million

Project Description: Lot A Partners plan to develop the surface parking between Capitol Mall, L, Sixth and Seventh streets into a two-phased mixed-use project. The first phase will include approximately 330,000 sf office and 30,000 sf retail. The second phase may include a hotel in addition to more retail, office and parking.

COMPLETED PROJECTS:

Meridian Plaza, 14th and L Streets (click to view photo)
Project Description: The 12-story building developed by the Allen Group and designed by Hornberger + Worstell Architects was completed in the late fall of 2003. The 230,000-square-foot office tower at 14th and L streets offers exceptional views of the State Capitol. Plans also include 480 parking spaces and improved streetscape, which will strengthen the K Street connection from 14th to 13th streets and build on to the activity already generated by the Esquire Plaza. Future phases of the project will include a second office tower and a hotel, located at 15th and L streets.
Total Project Cost: $60 million
