Project Description: Hollywood-based CIM Group's design consists of a 7-story, concrete-framed mixed-use project with 200 -270 residential units above 17,000 square feet of ground floor retail. Parking for residents and retail tenants will be provided on the sub-grade level and on two levels above the ground floor. Ground floor retail will be available along 8th, 9th and J Streets.
Estimated Project Cost: $43 million
Under construction: Anticipated completion winter 2005

Project Description: Continued planning and implementation for destination-oriented retail to compliment existing developments, such as the Esquire IMAX, Crest Theater, Community Center Theater, hotels and Convention Center. Renovations of the streetscape are also being planned.

East End Lofts, Elliot Building, 16th and J Streets (click to view photo)
Project Description: The project reused the 3-story historic Elliot Building into a four-story mixed use building with 18 units of loft-style housing on the third story and a new fourth story, 10,200 sf of ground floor retail with two destination restaurants, 11,400 of office on the second story and approximately 65 spaces of surface and covered parking. The restaurants are P.F. Chang's China Bistro and Mikuni Japanese Restaurant and Sushi Bar.
Total Project Cost: $12 million

Imax Theatre/Esquire Plaza, 13th and K Streets (click to view photo)
Project Description: Construction of a 22-story, 245,000 sf office building adjacent to an IMAX Theatre in the restored historic Esquire Theatre. Project also included the re-opening of 13th Street to automobile traffic.
Total Project Cost: $60 million

Project Description: Construction of a commercial structure that consists of 403,400 gross sf of office/retail space and a seven level parking garage with 1,033 parking spaces and 20 bike lockers. Project includes a waterfall art component and upgrade of exterior elevations at ground level.
