621 Capitol Mall

Sacramento Developer David Taylor has planned a new, 25-story office tower at 621 Capitol Mall, formerly known as 'Lot A'. For years the lot sat vacant and was used as a parking lot. Finally, in September 2005, David S. Taylor, Inc. purchased the lot for its new tower. Construction began in 2006. Soon after construction began US Bank announced it would lease 34,500 sqaure feet in the tower, which includes space for a ground floor branch. The lease agreement included naming rights that effectively changed the tower's name to the "US Bank Tower".

Developer Craig Nassi has also planned a 38-story condo tower on the adjacent parcel at 601 Capitol Mall. "Aura", designed by world-renowned architect Daniel Libeskind, will complement its 621 neighbor with similar glass designs.

The US Bank Tower will feature over 356,000 square feet of "Class A" office space and will near completion by 2008.
