Redevelopment Areas

The City of Sacramento manages three redevelopment areas in the City of Sacramento city limits River District, Railyards and Downtown. The Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency, a joint powers with the city and county, oversees 12 different redevelopment areas in both jurisdictions. The purpose of these redevelopment areas is to fund new projects that will create a healthier environment for businesses and residents.
