FY2019/20 Proposed Budget

The FY2019/20 Proposed Budget and the 2019-2024 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) are now available. The total budget is approximately $1.2 billion from all funding sources and supports 4,773.24 full-time equivalent (FTE) positions. This includes $588.5 million from General and Measure U (G/MU) Funds operations and capital projects, and $563 million for operations and capital projects for the City's Enterprise Funds and other fund activities.

Revenue Counter at City Hall
The Revenue counter at Sacramento City Hall hours are now 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.  The Revenue counter is located at 9th and I streets in New City Hall. The phone line, 916-808-8500, will be staffed from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.  "We’ve seen the volume of online payments increase,” said Brad Wasson, the Revenue Division Manager.” Citizens can save themselves a trip to City Hall to pay parking citations, utility bills and invoices by paying online. This year, residential parking permit forms and other services will also be available online.

What is Measure U?
A one-cent general tax that is charged on each dollar of taxable sales of goods purchased from retailers within the City of Sacramento, and on the taxable storage, use, or consumption of goods purchased outside the City and delivered to a location within the City. This use tax was voted in on November 6, 2018 and takes effect on April 1, 2019. Measure U was approved as a general tax and can be used for any general government purpose.
