Important Information

These pages provide information about current contracting opportunities available from the City of Sacramento. They include Invitations for Bid, Requests for Information, Requests for Qualification, and Requests for Proposal.

Contracting opportunities are categorized by type: Construction, Professional Services, Non-Professional Services, and Commodities. There is also a classification for Sheltered Market opportunities for small and emerging businesses. Use the checkboxes to the right to display a list based on your area(s) of interest.

  Construction are public projects which include:
  • Projects for the construction, improvement, and remodeling of public buildings and works.
  • Work in or about streams, bays, waterfronts, embankments, or other work for the protection of overflow.
  • Street, sewer, or water works; or furnishing supplies or materials for such projects.

  Professional Services are of any type or variety, including but not limited to services rendered by engineers, architects, auditors, consultants, actuaries, and attorneys.

  Non-Professional Services are of any type, description or variety including but not limited to tree trimming, janitorial, laundry, window washing, and repair services for office machines, equipment, automotive vehicles.

  Commodities are supplies, goods, equipment and materials, including materials required for the maintenance or repair of any street, sewer, or water works.

  DBE (Disadvantaged Business Enterprises)   These are projects receiving federal-aid and require the participation of firms certified by California Department of Transportation (CalTrans) as Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE). Examples of projects include, urban design infrastructure, street overlay, highway construction, and other capital improvement projects.

  Sheltered Market are contracting opportunities which are reserved for firms certified by the City of Sacramento as Small or Emerging Business Enterprises (S/EBE).
