Cat Days of Summer

While the weather is HOT, adopt a COOL cat and save BIG! Announcing the Cat Days of Summer - a HOT weather, COOL cats adoption special that begins on July 1 and runs through August 31.

Throughout the Cat Days of Summer, the City of Sacramento Animal Care Services, the Sacramento SPCA, and the Sacramento County Animal Care and Regulation are waiving the adoption fee on adult cats (one year or older) and are offering 2-for-1 kitten adoptions.

Titanic

In the spirit of giving, the City of Sacramento Animal Care Services is kicking off a pet food bank. Named after the shelter's resident cat, Titanic's Pantry will provide food and supplies to companion animals in our community. The shelter is requesting donations from individuals and businesses to keep this program on-going.

The goal of the food bank is to keep people and their pets together by providing food and supplies. The shelter strives to be a resource for individuals and families who are not able to afford food for their companion animals. It is preferred that the food bank recipient's pet(s) is altered, vaccinated, and licensed. For those pets that are not, the shelter will provide a list of resources to do so.

The food bank is open Tuesday through Saturday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm in the Reception Building. It is NOT available through the main office. We are closed on Sunday and Monday. Recipients are required to live in the city limits of Sacramento and must show proof of residency.
