Happy Ending Stories - GretaMy husband and I would like to thank everyone at the City of Sacramento's Animal Care Services for your commitment to animal care and your assistance during our recent adoption. We adopted 'Greta' (ID# 316521), a 12-year-old hound dog mix, on June 22. We'd been getting over the death of our old dog, Andalou, and had not intended to adopt another senior pet. However, Greta's photo on your Web site looked so forlorn that we couldn't help ourselves. Greta has now transformed from a dejected stray into happy, healthy, loving 'Magnolia, our Southern belle'. Magnolia has the best manners we've ever encountered in any dog, and she's astonishingly trouble-free - perfectly house-trained, always quiet, and sweetly demure in everything she does. In fact, we've nicknamed her 'The Big Easy'! Magnolia is a strong argument for the wisdom of adopting older pets We'd also like to thank the City for everything else you provide - your staff were helpful, your services and materials were complete and your fees were more than reasonable.
