Adoption Waiting List Guidelines

1. An animal can be returned to its owner at any time.
   
   
2. The owner of an animal may come in and sign over the ownership of the animal to the shelter at any time, resulting in the animal becoming available for adoption IMMEDIATELY.
   
   
3. Our staff will make a courtesy call to the people on the waiting list in the event the animal becomes available for adoption BEFORE the "Available Date."
   
   
4. An animal may become UNAVAILABLE if it is redeemed by its owner or does not pass a behavior assessment. Please call prior to the "Available Date" to confirm that the animal is still available for adoption.
   
   
5. Please arrive at the shelter at least 10 MINUTES prior to the shelter's opening.
   
   
6. When the shelter opens, the 1st person on the sign-up list will be announced. If the person announced is not present, then the animal becomes available for the next person on the list.

It is your responsibility to keep up with the status of the animal
